GeoMatch, our add-on for Adobe Lightroom Classic, works entirely on your Mac. It reads the library of Apple's Photos app without changing it, and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

What GeoMatch reads

• The library of Apple's Photos app on your Mac, read-only: for photos that have a location, the time taken, time zone, location, altitude, camera or phone model, file name, a small preview picture, and the address the Photos app worked out.
• Your Lightroom Classic catalog (the database where Lightroom Classic keeps your photos' information): capture times, existing location and place fields, keywords and file names of the photos you choose to run GeoMatch on.

What GeoMatch writes

Only to your Lightroom Classic catalog, and only when you click Geotag Photos: GPS position, altitude, place names, the Date Created field, and the keyword GeoMatch inferred location. Your GeoMatch settings are kept in Lightroom Classic's plug-in settings. Temporary files, such as small preview pictures, go to your Mac's temporary folder.

What leaves your Mac

Nothing. GeoMatch has no accounts, analytics, tracking or telemetry, and makes no network requests. Two things open your web browser only when you click them: the Map button (Apple Maps, with that photo's coordinates) and links to this website.

Purchases

GeoMatch is sold through Adobe Exchange. Payment and purchase records are handled by Adobe and its payment provider under their privacy policies; we receive the sales information they share with publishers.

If you email geomatch@gl-solutions.ai, we use your message and address only to answer you. Please don't send photos or library files unless we ask.

This website

No cookies, analytics or trackers. Our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operation.
